Laura Fox's elegant painting style is quickly mading her one of the most sought after portrait  artists in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Laura was born in France and grew up in the Hayes Barton neighborhood of downtown Raleigh. Art and creativity were a big part of her childhood and homelife. It was evident that Laura was naturally gifted in the arts from the age of 3. Laura created comic strips and paintings throughout her school years including when she attended Cary Academy as one of their inaugural classes.

Passionate about painting, Laura got very serious and focused all her energies on applying to the top art schools in the country.  Her focus and hard work paid off -  she went on to earn her BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), which is one of the oldest  fine arts colleges in the U.S. and regularly ranks "Top 3" along with Yale University and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Laura has shown her work at various exhibitions in Providence, RI and internationally at the Palazzetto Cenci, a 16th century building located near the Panethon and Colosseum in Rome, Italy, where she lived and studied as part of RISD's European Honors Program.

Laura specializes in watercolor home portraits, oil portraits of people and oil portraits of pets. She is also a rare and accomplished expert in the ancient art of egg tempra and egg emulsion painting.
